Bahamas 2009
Wow, just passed the last test for being a
qualified skipper with just 400nm of
experience. Now, the next step had to be
living our dream. Lots of studies and
careful search about a safe sailing area
brought us to the amazing Bahamas!

This time tides more wind and a vessel
which bends over - great fun and jumping
whales. No.2 was a great success and
another step forward on the everlasting
learning curve.
We saw a sailing Cat once in a little bay in the Isle of Mallorca - we think it was a Lagoon 440.
It did look so remote and secluded that we thought - we have to do it aswell. Thereafter we found
out that it requires a lot of test and qualifications (in other words: TIME) to be legally ok for that which
delayed the idea for a bit. But the Jan got 13months inbetween 2 Jobs and this was exactly what it
needed. Now being qualified we have another hobby - but not not more holidays. Quite a stretch!
